In the 2000s, the future founders of the company created information products for text-related activities in formal languages in international companies like Sun Microsystems, Intel or Oracle.
Meanwhile a demand had evolved in Russia, for a tool allowing to work with card-type global records — one-piece text blocks or other data used simultaneously in an unlimited number of processes. Foreign software using global records is renowned in specific niche markets and is operated mainly by the military industry and expert communities. Our task was to develop a similar product for Russia retaining its best properties.

In 2008, a team of researchers committed itself to developing a practical tool for working with global records and generating documents of any complexity using these records.

In 2009, datagrav.com website was launched to test ready-made tools. At the same time, the working title of the product occurred – DataGrav, derived from Data Gravitation, which could be understood as data gravity or consolidation.

In 2011, Datagrav LLC was registered in St. Petersburg to manage the similar products line and the cloud service located at https://datagrav.com.

In 2014, a Datagrav West Africa Nigeria Limited subsidiary was registered in Nigeria. It was created to support and develop commercial partnerships with representative offices of Russian companies, as well as for sales and implementation of Datagrav software line in the domestic Nigerian market.
Datagrav West Africa is developing consistent partnerships with leading enterprises in Russia and Nigeria, the Russian Embassy, Gazprom divisions, and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) of Nigeria. An agreement was reached with NITDA to start implementing Datagrav solutions in the Agency workflows.
The company has created and maintains a network of experts, specialists and public figures united by participation in common projects.

In 2017, the Datagrav team was increased by the founders of the TASKDATA group of companies who had created a number of successful enterprises in the IT sector in Russia and abroad.

Datagrav LLC cooperates with state development institutions, has successful experience in integrating software with departmental and interdepartmental IT systems; maintains partnerships with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, companies of the Gazprom Group, and innovative companies that configure integrated IT systems of state authorities and management.
Datagrav software is included in the unified Register of Russian software and databases; recommended for use by the Analytical Center for the Government of Russia as a solution for operations with unstructured data.

Graduated from the Anichkov Lyceum (LNMO math school in St. Petersburg). In 2001 he graduated from the Department of Mathematical Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, St. Petersburg State University.
Since 1997 Sergey worked on engineering tasks modeling the growth of semiconductor crystals in the Soft-Impact / Semiconductor Technology Research Inc group of companies.
In 2004 he moved to Sun Microsystems Company, then to the Intel Labs - a research division of Intel Corporation, where he was occupied in the engineering and research positions. Co-author of two patents in the field of microprocessor architecture.
Sergey is an author and co-author of more than 15 articles in international referred publications, he took part in conferences on mathematical modeling, computational mathematics and computer-aided design of electronics in Finland, Italy, and the USA.
Sergey has been developing solutions for organizing information, collaborative editing and global records since 2009. He advised foreign economic divisions of Gazprom, VTB, other Russian enterprises and organizations.
Since 2011, he is the founder and CEO of Datagrav LLC, leading the development of the company product line.
Married, has two daughters and a son.

He was born in Leningrad, graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of St. Petersburg State University. He also has a management master's degree at the Economics Faculty of St. Petersburg State University. Sergey is the author of various scientific publications in the field of suboptimal algorithms, optimization of data warehousing and cryptography, as well as adaptation programs for students in modern IT companies.
From the end of the 90s Sergey took an active part in involving foreign companies into the field of computer security and high-tech software development (Nokia, Quest Diagnostics, BioDiscovery, AtBusiness Oyj). In 2003, he led the development team at Enkata Inc, a specialist in analytic processing of large amounts of data. In 2007, he moved to Siperian Company, the MDM market leader, to head the development center in St. Petersburg, which was later acquired by Informatica Corp Company in 2010.

Born in Leningrad, in 2001 he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of St. Petersburg State University with a degree in computer engineering and software. From the end of the 90s he was engaged in research activities at Soft-Impact Company, where he specialized in algorithmic modeling of crystal growth.
Starting from 2004, he focused his interests on processing of large amounts of data and joined the development team of Enkata Inc., a specialist in the big data analytic processing. In 2007 he moved to Siperian, the Master Data Management market leader, where he took the position of the lead architect of the research and development unit. One of the main tasks there was expanding the range of supported servers for databases and applications, as well as optimizing key algorithms in terms of performance and scaling.
